SHREWSBURY, MA — One person died Thursday after a two-vehicle crash on Route 20 in Shrewsbury, with police responding to the scene just before 2 p.m. near 727 Hartford Turnpike.

Authorities said the collision involved a Hyundai Elantra and a Mercedes sport utility vehicle. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
