Joseph Daher, Columnist
Joseph is a senior and music columnist for the Echo. Avid music enthusiast and resident Bronxville producer, when he's not shredding the gnar at Sprain Ridge Park on my mountain bike, catch him in the studio cooking up the next fire beat in FL Studio. Current favorites include Arcade Fire, Beach House, BROCKHAMPTON, Denzel Curry, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, MGMT, Tame Impala and Tyler the Creator.
Every week Joseph will list and briefly discuss some of the most notable recent releases, and mention any important music news if any. He will choose a specific album of those listed to review, giving some brief context on the origin of the record, some analysis of the record’s symbolism or message, and then an opinionated critique of the record. In the same vein as famous music reviewer Anthony Fantano, he will highlight some of my favorite and least favorite classes and then give a (subjective) rating out of 10. If it is a particularly slow week, he will choose instead to spotlight a classic record.
