Bronxville Varsity Boys Basketball Season
May 5, 2021
It has been a few weeks since the Bronxville Varsity Boys Basketball season has ended and looking back it was a superb season. The Broncos finished the season with nine wins and four losses. After being co-league champs with Westlake, the Broncos were the two seed in the section playoffs. They played Pleasantville in the first round of the playoffs and won 52 to 30. In the second round they lost to Westlake in the section championship game. It was a first-rate season for the Broncos despite the fact that it didn’t culminate the way the team had envisioned.
Junior captain Chris Kelty said “We had a great season. Even though we didn’t get the result we wanted, we still fought until the very last whistle. Our senior captains were outstanding leaders for us this year. We now know what it feels like to lose in the championship game.”
Next year, the Bronxville Basketball team will be returning ten players. The two senior captains Riley Ramundo and J.P. Swenson were tremendous leaders for the team this year. They were a major factor for the success this season. They have helped put the program on the map and in the right direction for next year’s season. Finally, the future is bright for the Bronxville Boys Varsity Basketball program; let’s aim to win the championship in 2022!
