To kick off the Bronxville High School fall sports postseason, Boys Varsity Soccer was defeated by Albertus Magnus, in their first playoff game, this past Friday. At the end of the second half, the score was tied, 0-0. Unfortunately, through a long fight, Albertus scored, allowing them to win by 1 in order to move on.

Just after Soccer, Varsity Football played against Pleasantville, last Friday night. The Broncos had played them earlier in the season, losing by only a touchdown. Unfortunately,  while putting up a good fight, they could not break through the Pleasantville defense. The Broncos lost, 43-20.

The Girls Varsity Soccer team is doing extremely well in the playoff season, and we’re not surprised. While facing many talented teams, the Broncos are looking forward to their next game,  this weekend after beating Briarcliff on Thursday afternoon. Go support the Broncos this weekend in the section finals.

In their first playoff game, the Girls Varsity Field Hockey team beat Croton by a total of 6 goals, allowing them to move on to the next game where they would play against North Salem. Unfortunately, the Broncos lost, facing 2 sudden deaths and 2 shootouts. It is terribly sad that the Girls’ season had to come to an end in such a way, but they are ready for whatever the next season may bring.

Girls Cross Country has been undefeated for 41 years in a row, they are coached by Jim Mitchell and David Ryan, and as they move on to sectionals, there is nothing stopping the team from gaining another title. Go support the Broncos this Friday, the 26th.

The Boys Cross Country team has a county meet this Friday, and are looking forward to sectionals that will take place on the third of November. The team has several talented runners who are looking to bring home another league championship.

Girls Swim and Dive has finished their season with six wins, one of them being against Ursuline, who they beat for their first time in 14 years. The girls are not sure who will make states at this point in time, but a talented swimmer from Tuckahoe made states in 2 events; she is first in the state and has All American consideration.

The Girls Varsity Tennis team is equipped with several outstanding players. The Broncos beat Tappan Zee this past Saturday; yet, they could not pull out a win against Mamaroneck, who they faced in the quarterfinals. Although the girls are losing a handful of seniors, they are excited to get back to the tennis courts next season.
