As wintertime approaches Bronxville, winter sports like basketball, hockey, winter track and field, skiing, and boys ice hockey begin. The boys hockey team is merged with Tuckahoe, Eastchester, and Edgemont (ETBE). They began their season mid-November at the Ice Hutch on Garden Ave in Mount Vernon with preseason this year.

So far, the team has played two home games; one against Pearl River (12/1) and the second against Foxlane on 12/13. Both games resulted in wins for the Broncos’ combined team, with lead senior scorer David O’Shaughnessy scoring the winning goal to beat Pearl River 3-2 in overtime. David has been recognized as one of two individuals this past week for Bronco TV’s athlete of the week for his recent performances, and has also been named alongside junior Luke Arrighi to the Lohud watchlist.

The team was projected to win both games they recently played in, and fulfilled this prediction through their continuous grit and determination. In the Fox Lane game, Luke Arrighi scored three goals, along with David O’Shaughnessy who scored once and had two assists, and freshman Conlan Bailey who had one assist.

The team has their next games coming up on the 17th and 20th against Mount Pleasant and White Plains.
