It is now November, and the 2022 football season has come to an end for the Bronxville Broncos. It was an excellent season for the Broncos; even though the record wasn’t indicative, they fought hard in every game and ended the season with a 1-8 record. The Broncos finished 6th in their division/class and played the 3-seed Nanuet this past Friday night. The game started off slow, with both teams struggling to move the ball down the field. However, Bronxville Senior and Running Back Ethan Jaquette ran the ball into the endzone, and Junior Gabe Maicon kicked the game-tying extra point in the first quarter. However, after Head Coach Patsy Manganelli delivered a memorable speech to the team during halftime, the Broncos scored again in the third quarter, another touchdown for Ethan Jaquette. He had a phenomenal game. However, the Broncos defense ultimately ran out of energy in the end, and star running back James Moran of Nanuet ended up leading them to a win.

20-13.

Coach Patsy said after the game, “Man, what a season; I know this is a really tough way to end, but I’m really proud of each and every one of you, and I especially want to thank the Seniors for leading this group of kids and teaching them the right way to learn and play the game.” Coach really showed his respect and was full of emotion after the loss. Although the season ended, and that was the last time the Seniors stepped on a football field, there are a lot of positives, and the future is bright for this Broncos team.
