The Stable With Mr. Frank DiZenzo

The Stable With Mr. Frank DiZenzo

Jack Pasquale, Columnist

For this year’s final installment of The Stable, we interviewed Mr. Frank DiZenzo, who you have probably seen  all over school in the classroom, on the baseball field, DJing or helping out in many other areas.  Mr DiZenzo is one of the great people that make Bronxville School amazing!

What is your current position?

Teacher’s Aide/Modified Soccer Coach/Freshman Basketball Coach/Varsity Baseball Coach

How long have you been at Bronxville High School?

I have been coaching for 5 years and working in the high school for 3.

What do you hope kids on your baseball team learn?

For me it’s not about how much my players learn from me, but rather the experience we have as a team. Bronxville Baseball has created such an amazing culture from top to bottom. Honestly, without our players we are nothing. I learn something new every day from our guys and I think that is what makes this team so special.

Who is your all-time favorite baseball player?

To pick one is such a loaded question for me. I can give you my top 5 in no specific order, which would include: Paul O’Neill, Jorge Posada, Ken Griffey Jr, Alex Rodriguez, and from present-day baseball Aaron Judge. Oh and if you can’t tell, I am a bit of a Yankee fan!

Which is your favorite streaming service?

Netflix

What are you streaming now?

I am currently watching The Last Kingdom, but I am waiting for Yellowstone and Peaky Blinders to put out new episodes.

What is your favorite breakfast?

Bagel

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Cold-brew soft serve at Carvel is my current favorite ice cream.

What is your favorite band?

A band is much different from just a singular artist. I would have to go with Linkin Park!

What is the best advice someone ever gave you?

I know it’s cliche, but I truly believe in “always be yourself.” I was taught that a long time ago and I have held on to it. Being who you are as a person, in its truest form, outweighs a lot of things in life. Don’t change who you are just to fit in.

Thank you for interviewing me!
