A few weeks ago was national language week in Bronxville where the school’s languages, Mandarin, Spanish, French, and Latin were celebrated. The week included a T-shirt decoration competition, activities in the auditorium lobby, and loudspeaker trivia questions about each language. This week was filled with fun and learning and celebration of languages. “National Language day enriched my mind,” says a 10th-grade French student, “through designing my shirt, I was made aware of my abilities in both the French language and graphic design.” The French teacher, Madame Gillen says “My favorite part of national language week this year was having the middle ad high school together during lunch watching a movie, earring popcorn, and playing bilingual bingo.”
