This year, Bronxville Boys Basketball has experienced a significant uptick in the number of students trying out for the high school basketball teams. There were over 20 students that tried out for both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams, which is an unprecedented number, compared to the 15 students in previous years. This newfound interest in basketball has resulted in the development of a Freshman team which allows more students the opportunity to play basketball at a high school level. As someone who has played high school basketball since 8th grade, it is crazy to see how popular basketball has become in the last few years, and I believe that the number of students trying out for basketball will continue to grow in the coming years. Bronxville is slowly but surely becoming a basketball town. All levels are ecstatic about this upcoming season and are ready to get back out on the court.
